Nashville, Tenn. Feb. 19, 2009… Joining forces with a prestigious group of 24 other American Idol alums, the largest gathering of past Idol contestants to date, Brash Music’s Chris Sligh took part in the grand opening of Walt Disney World’s newest attraction, The American Idol Experience.
The American Idol alum from season six greeted fans walked the Disney blue carpet with his peers and media from all over the world, including OK! Magazine, US Weekly, TV Guide, Access Hollywood, Extra, E!, USA Today and others. Also among the festivities were an American Idol parade and the debut show of The American Idol Experience.
Other attendees included Ryan Seacrest, Kelly Clarkson, Fantasia, Ruben Studdard, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, Carrie Underwood, David Cook, Justin Guarini, David Archuleta, Brooke White, Melinda Doolittle, Ace Young, Bucky Covington, Josh Gracin, Mandisa, Diana DeGarmo and many more.
Designed to reflect the best and brightest elements of the TV show, Disney Imagineers and American Idol have partnered to re-create the American Idol television stage at Walt Disney World in Florida. The show at Walt Disney World is an exciting and fun-filled experience where guests who have completed an audition process perform live-on-stage and the guests in the audience vote, resulting in one guest every day who wins a "Dream Ticket" - which is redeemable to bypass the lines at any American Idol audition and proceed directly to the producers. It is quite an experience! For more information on this attraction, go to http://www.wdwnews.com.
Chris Sligh continues to have a stellar debut with his first project Running Back to You. In addition, Rascal Flatts’ new single, “Here Comes Goodbye,” which Sligh and Clint Lagerberg wrote, had the band’s second highest career debut at #29 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, and is the chart’s highest Gainer this week, hitting #20.
